Applicable to: Both WAG and MAG
Definition: Exaggerated pelvic tilt while pulling the pelvis and bottom backwards, and the stomach and core forwards.
Explanation: An arched body is an acceptable body posture for some skills, but not in others. Most commonly an arched body position may appear in bar casts, jumps to the high bar, round-offs, back layouts, and vaulting, when a tight hollow body position is needed. An arched body position is acceptable in back and front handsprings, front layouts, jumps and leaps in ring position, and more.
