Owner Calls meetcritique “The Missing Link in Our Training”

Tupelo Gymnastics Center wasted no time in putting meetcritique to use. They submitted routines for their entire Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) team, as well as for their Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Level 6 and 8 teams. The MAG routines were from an in-house meet where no judge was present, while the WAG routines were training videos.

Shawna shared an example: “Some of the gymnasts have been receiving the same types of deductions for years. We have recorded them and stopped the video to show them the error. They have done tons of drills to correct the error. One example is footwork in Floor routines. After watching the videos and seeing the deductions in real-time, several kids were able to correct most of their errors immediately.“
This real-time feedback proved to be a breakthrough, helping gymnasts visualize and understand their deductions in a way that traditional coaching methods hadn’t achieved.
