Applicable to WAG, Balance Beam only
Definition: Performing choreography and skills with confidence on the balance beam.
Explanation: Judges can deduct up to 0.2 for insufficient sureness of performance on balance beam. This is an overall deduction that judges apply at the end of a routine for overall performance. Insufficient sureness may look like pauses before skills, hesitations in choreography, or moving extremely slowly and cautiously. To improve sureness in performance, practice positive self talk or mental cues during your routine.
